The Hmong Cultural Center Museum in St.
Paul, Minn., is getting a major boost from a $49,000 grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The money will be used to expand the museum's tour program and hire more staff to give tours to schools and community groups, Minnesota Public Radio reports.
The museum, which is the only one of its kind in the US, features exhibits on the Hmong culture, language, and music, as well as exhibits on the Hmong refugee community.
The grant will also allow the museum to add a new exhibit, a dance show, and a fashion show, among other things.
MPR notes that the Sub Superior Underwater Music Festival will also feature music for the lake's never-seen bottlenose dolphins, a submersible fashion show, and an underwater art gallery for snorkelers.
